Dr. med. Marit Habicher
Since 2018: working at Giessen Uni hospital, Germany (after 11 years at Charité)
- 2017 First Author of the German S3 guideline for postoperative monitoring and hemodynamic treatment after Cardiac Surgery
Has conducted numerous studies on hemodynamic monitoring and optimization, both in the intraoperative setting and postoperatively in the intensive care unit and published articles about advanced hemodynamic management in peri-operative settings including the benefits of leveraging AI technology to improve outcome.
HYPROTECT
Intraoperative hypotension is associated with organ injury. Current intraoperative arterial pressure management is mainly reactive. Predictive haemodynamic monitoring may help clinicians reduce intraoperative hypotension. The Acumen™ Hypotension Prediction Index software (HPI-software) was developed to predict hypotension.
Dr. M. Habicher was part of the European multi-centre, prospective, observational EU HYPROTECT Registry built to describe the incidence, duration, and severity of intraoperative hypotension when using HPI-software monitoring in patients having noncardiac surgery.
